The all-new 2017 Elantra will distinguish itself from the compact car class with its design and segment-first premium conveniences and safety technologies
- Dave Zuchowski, president and CEO of HMA -
One of Hyundai Motor’s most beloved models, the new Elantra was revealed for the first time in North America through the LA Auto Show 2015. Building on the momentum and success of its proven award-winning predecessors, the new Elantra is entering its sixth generation and will arrive at Hyundai dealers in January 2016.
The “COM-PACKED” new Elantra, the compact sedan with just about everything, is equipped with a rigid chassis, now 54 percent advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) providing stiffer torsional rigidity and bending strength. The car offers two all-new powertrain options, 2.0 MPI paired with six-speed transmission (auto/manual) and 1.4 turbocharged GDi, paired with EcoShift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The design is further refined with bold aerodynamic design and sophisticated styling, safety uncompromised with class-above, comprehensive features.
