<Collection for “I”>

“I”, who has recognized his incompleteness, wanders about the city to collect the pieces of his broken ego. Not knowing that he has been wrongly assembled in the first place, his only wish is to survive, in this excessive competition of exaggerated ads and fluorescent lights. The artist comments on the paradox of urban life where people need to hide their real identity behind brilliance; <Collection for “I”> depicts the process of how one regains his ego.
Lee interpretes the city as a man-made gigantic concrete structure that projects man’s desires. He points out that a city, for the sake of convenience, sacrifices much and brings on a sea of troubles – population upsurge and overcrowding, energy overconsumption, various environmental problems, anonymity, a pleasure-oriented attitude, a wide gap between rich and poor and absence of communications.

<Running Man>

Running Man shows a repeated cycle of materials, ironstone becoming molten iron, the molten iron then becoming an iron plate, and finally becoming a complete object of modern design, which soon dismantles back to the ironstone. This show, using humanized characters to represent movement of raw materials, demonstrates how resources move in endless cycles.
